Gigabyte goes Extreme with SLI

Checkout this pic of the new Gigabyte Motherboard that supports 4 SLI graphics cards:

P.S. SLI is a technology that enables motherboards to run multiple Graphics Cards in parallel, and thus multiplying the Graphics performance with the number of used cards.

Can you believe this? 4 SLI cards on one board, that’s crazy… I can’t think of any game that could utilize this huge power except maybe for Unreal Engine 3 games, or current games running on multiple high resolution Displays, but that’s surely overkill even for the extreme gamers, and I can’t even imagine the power requirements of this setup but absolutely 650+ Watt Power Supply is the minimum.

Is there somebody crazy enough to buy this board?

classic case of "overdoing it"
maybe in a few years we would need such power, but by then, I'm sure we can get all the power from one card. For now, I'll keep using my onboard graphics card... yikes

Sometimes i tend to "overdoing it" when buying new hardware but nothing crazy like that.
