Help Determine Search Relevance

It has become known through the time that the default choice for finding things on the Internet is Google, Why? Because a few years ago it was indeed the best one with the simplest interface so we got accustomed to it, and never looked back.
But have you ever wandered if it’s still the best one?

RustySearch is a new ambitious search project intended to find the best search engine that gives the most relevant results, it’s essentially a "blind" engine which gives you results randomly from either Yahoo, Google, Ask, or MSN, then asks you to rate the results (more on the details here).

And according to the first 5000 rated search queries, Yahoo came on top with the most relevant search results, then came the famous Google, followed by MSN and Ask Jeeves.

This result is certainly surprising, as most of us (at least I) assume that Google is the best Search Engine, but apparently Yahoo is constantly improving its search capabilities, maybe I should check Yahoo more often.

But again maybe it’s a too early to judge now, the result could change as the number of rated queries increase, as the difference between Google and Yahoo is small.

This project is our best shot to really find out which search engine is better, because it depends on the Feedback of users, and no one can denies that the user is the best one to decide which of the results is the most relevant to his search.

I urge you to use RustSearch for your next couple of searches, as a way to support the project, and help them (and us) find out which one is really the best.
